Hydraulic valves are important as they help control the flow of any liquid most essentially oil in the system. Choosing the appropriate valve is important to any hydraulic system. It comes in different types and sizes depending on the flow rate and the pressure of the system.

2 Main Types of Hydraulic Valves
There are two main types of hydraulic valves, hydraulic solenoid valve and hydraulic directional valve. Directional are utilized to control the flow of the fluid from the start to the end. However, solenoids are utilized when a specific pressure level is needed.
Aside from the 3 classifications, there are special hydraulic valves which are utilized dependent on the requirements. Some examples will be multi-block directional, cartridge, modular, electro-hydraulic proportional, electro-hydraulic service, digital, water pressure control and micro-hydraulic.
Multi-block directional valves are composed of a main valve with many valves which include a directional, a pressure as well as a check valve which is utilized to centralize control of the machine. The eco-friendly and the safest valve is the water pressure that is utilized to control water in various water hydraulic systems.
Hydraulic valves are essential to a complete system. There are many ways on how these valves are connected and installed.
